I have spent a lot of time on this blog criticizing George W. Bush, largely because, well, he's the President, and he's the one screwing up. But that doesn't mean I like the Donkeys. Recently, Michigan Democrats -- facing a huge budget deficit -- proposed a budget that would involving purchasing an iPod for every school child in the state.
Why? Why would anybody think that this was an intelligent use of taxpayer dollars? Particularly when the state is facing a deficit? You know, if the Democrats have any hope for a liberaltarian alliance, they might refrain from making proposals this transparently, um, idiotic.
