According to one report, Alan Mulally, the CEO of Ford, prevented President Bush from plugging an electrical outlet into the wrong socket in a prototype hydrogen/electric hybrid automobile, thereby averting a Cheney presidency by preventing a detonation which might well have killed the Leader of the Free World. Leaving aside the inevitable anti-Bush humor -- for now I leave that to the Rude Pundit -- isn't it a bit, uh, weird, that Ford has a prototype that will explode if you stick an electric plug in the wrong hole? Note to CEO Mulally: change that before mass-producing the thing and selling it to the public. Or is this just a creative way to finally make everybody forget the Ford Pinto?
